XXIV tops rankings for traditional chancery in Chambers High Net Worth 2016
XXIV Old Buildings are delighted to have been recognised as a leading set in traditional chancery in the first edition of Chambers & Partners High Net Worth. The publication ranks leading private wealth professionals across 35 countries.
Praised as “a talented set which is efficient and easy to deal with“, XXIV was said to be “incredibly commercial and modern“. Instructing solicitors interviewed by the publication’s researchers commended XXIV’s “personable and efficient” practice management team and said of the barristers: “The beauty of them is that they are really strong at junior and silk levels. You feel confident you will be in a safe pair of hands“.
Particularly noted as leading silks were “expert of trust matters” Alan Steinfeld QC; “excellent all-round chancery silk” Francis Tregear QC; David Brownbill QC, who “puts his tremendous experience to good use“; and “fearsome advocate” Elspeth Talbot Rice QC.
Seven of XXIV’s members were recommended as leading juniors: Michael King, who has “that sort of experience and gravitas which is useful on cases“; Elizabeth Weaver, who provides “silk quality at a junior rate“; “clever, experienced and astute” Bajul Shah; “ferociously clever” Jessica Hughes; Adam Cloherty, who is “very bright, easy to work with and hardworking“; “lion in court” Edward Cumming; and “very bright and hardworking” Andrew Holden.
XXIV Old Buildings is also recommended as a leading set for traditional chancery, amongst other practice areas, in Chambers & Partners UK Bar Directory 2016.
