The members and staff of XXIV Old Buildings wish to congratulate Michael Uberoi and Hugh Miall who have been recommended for appointment as King’s Counsel in the new silk appointments announced today.

The recommendation was made on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, following consideration by the independent King’s Counsel Selection Panel. His Majesty The King will issue the letters patent at an appointment ceremony at Westminster Hall later this year where The Lord Chancellor will formally bestow the title of KC upon the successful applicants.

Michael is a highly regarded barrister specialising in commercial and regulatory litigation with a particular focus on pensions and financial services both in the UK and overseas. He recently won Financial Services and Insurance Junior of the Year 2025 at the Legal 500 Bar Awards.

Hugh who has been described in the leading directories as “just brilliant“, specialises in commercial and commercial chancery matters, with a particular emphasis on complex civil fraud, commercial litigation, insolvency, company and partnership law and contentious trust litigation, domestically and offshore.

Congratulations to both members.
