Lyndsey de Mestre KC

The House of Commons has announced that Lyndsey de Mestre KC has been appointed a member of the Independent Expert Panel (IEP).

The IEP was set up in 2020 to determine appeals and sanctions against current and former Members of Parliament concerning claims of bullying, harassment, and sexual misconduct contrary to UK Parliamentary policies and the Code of Conduct for MPs. The IEP is entirely independent of the House of Commons.

Lyndsey will serve a six year term starting 25th November 2024 and will join the panel along with new chair Sir Adrian Fulford, and fellow new members Wendy Williams CBE and Dr Andrew Hoyle.

Chambers wishes to congratulate Lyndsey on her appointment, which she will carry out whilst continuing her arbitration and mediation practice.

Further information on the work of the IEP can be found here.
