Chambers wishes to congratulate James Gamblin who has joined XXIV Old Buildings with immediate effect following an offer of tenancy upon the successful completion of his pupillage.

Erin Hitchens, pupillage co-ordinator, says “we are delighted to welcome James as a new colleague and tenant of XXIV Old Buildings. We look forward to supporting his continued success within Chambers, and his arrival further strengthens our already impressive junior offering.”

Senior Clerk, Paul Horsfield, says, “we are pleased to see James come through the pupillage process and joining our ranks. As our newest tenant we look forward to working collaboratively throughout his career”.

During pupillage he was supervised by Hugh Miall, Timothy Sherwin, James Bradford and Ben Waistell, and gained experience across the full range of Chambers’ work.  He is now building a broad Commercial and Chancery practice, including Trusts, Probate & Estates, Crypto & Digital Assets, Insolvency, Company & Partnership Law, Civil Fraud, Aviation and Commercial Litigation.

Before coming to the Bar, James was a county court advocate with Quest Legal Advocates. He also spent several months working as a paralegal on behalf of a respondent to the largest case of its type to have been brought before the Takeover Panel Hearing Committee.

James graduated with first class honours with distinction (starred first) in Theology, Religion, and the Philosophy of Religion from the University of Cambridge. He came top of his year and received a number of academic scholarships and prizes. James was later awarded both the Exhibition Scholarship Award and the Profumo Scholarship Award by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple while studying for the Bar Professional Training Course.
