Following the Financial Services Lawyers Association AGM on 15 June 2026, we are pleased to announce that:
- Oliver Assersohn KC will move from the Executive Committee up to the Advisory Board;
- Michael Uberoi KC has been elected to the Executive Committee;
- Ben Waistell has been re-elected to the Executive Committee.
Oliver Assersohn KC is a financial services specialist and was one of the co-founders of the Association. He has led the Executive Committee for several years and now moves to the Advisory Board which is made up of senior practitioners.
Michael Uberoi KC has long experience of financial services disputes and regulation. In 2025 he won the award for Legal 500’s “Financial Services Junior of the Year”. He joined XXIV Old Buildings in 2025 and in so doing further strengthened the set’s expertise and reputation in this important area of practice.
Ben Waistell is a leading commercial junior, with financial services disputes and regulatory actions forming a core part of his practice.
The involvement of three established members of chambers in the running of the Association underlines XXIV’s long-standing commitment to financial services.
