XXIV Old Buildings is a highly regarded and respected Chambers of 43 self-employed barristers who practise in international and domestic commercial Chancery litigation and arbitration, and provide legal advice to the financial, commercial and professional community and to private individuals.

This role involves assisting the Senior Practice Managers and Practice Managers in all aspects of clerking duties including the business development of members’ practices and Chambers brand. The successful candidate will undertake practice management activities across chambers, including diary management and liaising with the courts regarding listing of cases. The candidate will be responsible for keeping abreast of the practices of all barristers and identifying ideas for developing barristers’ practices working closely with the Senior Practice Manager and the Chambers Director. Chambers uses Meridian Law Connected Diary and fees system – training will be given where necessary.

The successful candidate will become a member of one of the two clerking teams which each comprise of a Senior Practice Manager, a Practice Manager and an Assistant Practice Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ clerking experience or degree level education – essential.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills – essential.
  • Pro-active attitude to problem solving and teamwork – essential.
  • Marketing and business development experience – desirable.
  • Listing experience – desirable.
