Members of chambers will explore the civil law consequences of collateral bribes in contract, equity and insolvency concerning -
- contracts procured by fraud
- remedies available to victims of bribery & equitable remedies in conflicts of law
- creditors' rights to recover bribes paid by insolvent debtors
- double-indemnity (where a defendant faces successful claims from each of two parties and if both were paid the defendant would have to pay twice for the same wrong)
